 2017 Preview 


       Eufaula completed the 2016 season with a 8-3 record. With their 5-1 region record and a second place finish in Class 5A region two, the Tigers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2016. Eufaula's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Jackson by a score of 41-21.

       Since 2010, Eufaula has gone a combined 55-25. Their 69.0% winning percentage ranks 7th in Class 5A over the past seven seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Eufaula has gone a combined 198-98. Their 67.0% winning percentage ranks 9th in Class 5A and 40th in the AHSAA. The Tigers have been successful on the football field with twenty-one winning seasons during this time.

       The Tigers are led by head coach Bryan Moore who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 17-6 over the past two seasons at Eufaula. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Moore.

       Coach Moore's overall record as a head football coach in two season stands at 17-6 (73.9%).

       The Eufaula Tigers will play in Class 5A region two during the 2017 season.

       The Tigers enter the 2017 season riding a 5 game regular season winning streak.

       The Tigers should be in contention for a playoff spot in region two this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game. They have reached the playoffs every year since 1997 and will once again be in the hunt for a spot in 2017.

      Taylor Gover returns for his Junior season after completing 81 of 146 passes for 1,137 yards and 10 touchdowns.

      Junior Joe Green returns after catching 27 passes for 426 yards and 4 touchdowns.

      The defense returns Junior middle linebacker Brandon Hudgins who registered 110 tackles last season.

       The Tigers open the 2017 season on the road against non-region opponent Early County GA on Friday, August 25.

       Eufaula and Early County GA have met a total of 8 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 6-2-0 record against Early County GA. They last met in 2016 with Eufaula winning by a score of 27-13.
