Coaching Records
Many great coaches have walked the
sidelines of football fields around the state over the past 100 years. These men gave of themselves,
through time and effort, to ensure fans had something to discuss on Saturday.
The list of football coaches is long and difficult to compile. We are going to begin with a list of
the football coaches that have won at least 100 games in the state.

Research is being done to complete a
list of every head coach to ever wander the sidelines of a high school football field
in Alabama. AHSFHS.org members have worked tirelessly on the list and their
efforts are showing dividends with over 77% of the coaches found.
If we think of each team and each season they fielded a football team we will need to
find over 31,000 coaches.
A breakdown of our efforts through 8/15/2010:
1900-1949 - 74% complete
1950-2010 - 89% complete
Remember, this is not a complete list of every football coach. We have about
77% of the football coaches complete. If you know of a football coach not on this list please
inform us.
Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
Foley outscored their opponents 433-6 in 1961. The Lions were named state champions by the Alabama Sports Writers Association that season.
