Alabama High School Football Polls
Several different services have produced high school football polls over the years including the Associated Press, the Alabama Sports Writers Association, United Press International, The Mobile Press, The Birmingham Herald, The Alabama Journal and other newspapers. The Alabama Sports Writers Association began publishing weekly high school football polls in 1960.
The USA Today National Rankings are an interesting related item. These high school football polls were first published in 1982 and have continued annually. Alabama has been represented recently by Hoover and in 2006 with Prattville making an appearance. Below is a list of the teams making the USA Today high school football poll.
