The Playoffs are HERE! The 2016 regular season is done. Here are a few tidbits from this week's action.

   *  Piedmont defeated Oneonta 45-9 to wrap up a perfect 10-0 regular season. They also extend their state leading winning streak to 20 games as they embark upon reaching their goal of another state championship in 2016.

  *  Childersburg outscored Central Coosa 82-64 in the highest scoring game ever! The 146 points tops the mark set in 2003 when Parrish defeated Hubbertville 81-58.

  *  Hewitt-Trussville completed the first 10-0 regular season in school history last week. Carroll (10-0) closed out the first perfect 10-0 regular season since 1930. Rogers, LaFayette and Park Crossing finished off the first 10-0 seasons in their school's history along with Chambers Academy in the AISA.

  *  The best region in any classification? Region five in class 3A has compiled a record of 44-25. Take away their region games and they are an amazing 23-4 against outside competition. Class 4A region 4 only had a single team, Bibb County, finish with more wins than losses. Class 5A region 3 finished with a 7-22 record against non-regions foes.
