The Hurricanes are led by head coach Doug Vickery Jr. who is entering his eleventh season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 70-41 over the past ten seasons at Flomaton. Under his direction the Hurricanes have qualified for the playoffs a total of five times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Vickery Jr..

Coach Vickery Jr.'s overall record as a head football coach in sixteen season stands at 96-79 (54.9%). Over the course of his career, Coach Vickery Jr.'s teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of nine times .

If Flomaton can win four games this season, Coach Vickery Jr. will reach the 100 win milestone.

The Flomaton Hurricanes will play in Class 3A region one during the 2016 season. The Hurricanes move up in classification to Class 3A. They may find the going slightly tougher with the move. Flomaton will face six opponents that reached the playoffs last season.
