New Brockton completed the 2025 season with a 6-4 record. Last year New Brockton just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 4A region two with a 3-4 region record. The Gamecocks improved in 2025 with their first winning season since 2018. The Gamecocks won as many games as in any season since 2018. Since 2010, New Brockton has gone a combined 75-92. Their 44.9% winning percentage ranks 37th in Class 4A over the past sixteen seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, New Brockton has managed to compile a record of 122-138. Their 47.0% winning percentage ranks 35th in Class 4A and 218th in the AHSAA. Head Coach: The Gamecocks are led by head coach Reginald Melton who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 6-4 record in his first season at New Brockton. The Gamecocks saw improvement from a 4-6 record the season before coach Melton arrived. The Gamecocks have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Melton. Over the course of his career, Coach Melton's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times . Season Outlook: The New Brockton Gamecocks will play in Class 4A region two during the 2026 season. The Gamecocks won six games for the first time since 2018. That may not sound like much at most schools but at New Brockton it's a step in the right direction toward rebuilding a football program. Now they will concentrate on taking that next step which is making the playoffs. It is something that is in the realm of possibilities. A late season loss to Pike County extinguished any hopes of a playoff spot for the Gamecocks last year. We think they have a shot at it this season in Region Two. Wesley Creel completed 90 of 168 passes for 1,454 yards and 10 TDs and will return for his Senior season. The Gamecocks have a good shot at one of the last two playoff slots in region two this season. New Brockton has failed to qualify for the playoffs since 2019 but hope to return to the post season this year. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Neal by a score of 35-14.
New Brockton and Opp have met a total of 7 times on the football field. The Gamecocks have a 1-6-0 record against the Bobcats. They last met in 2025 with Opp winning by a score of 49-7.
