 2026 Preview 


       Eufaula completed the 2025 season with a 6-5 record. With their 4-2 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 5A region two, the Tigers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2025. Eufaula's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Williamson by a score of 50-14.

       Since 2010, Eufaula has gone a combined 121-64. Their 65.4% winning percentage ranks 11th in Class 4A over the past sixteen seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Eufaula has finished a combined 202-90. Their 69.0% winning percentage ranks 6th in Class 4A and 49th in the AHSAA. The Tigers have been successful on the football field with twenty-two winning seasons during this time.

Head Coach:
       The Tigers are led by head coach Jerrell Jernigan who is entering his fifth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 29-18 over the past four seasons at Eufaula. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of four times. They have won one region crown with Coach Jernigan.

Season Outlook:

       The Eufaula Tigers will play in Class 4A region two during the 2026 season.

      

       The Eufaula Tigers have qualified for the playoffs in each of the past twenty-eight seasons. Back-to-back six win seasons put that streak in jeopardy at times but they survived.

       Of the five teams Eufaula lost to last year only one, Andalusia, remains on the schedule in 2026.

    The Tigers should be in contention for a playoff spot in region two this season. Hosting a first round playoff game on their home turf would be an advantage. They have reached the playoffs every year since 1997 and will once again be in the hunt for a spot in 2026.

Season Opener:
       The Tigers open the 2026 season at home against non-region opponent Catholic Montgomery on Friday, August 21 at Tigers Stadium. Last year the Catholic Montgomery Knights finished with an overall record of 8-5 and in first place in Class 5A region two. The Knights lost in the quarter-finals round of the Class 5A playoffs to Williamson by a score of 41-10.

       Eufaula and Catholic Montgomery have met a total of 3 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 1-2-0 record against the Knights. They last met in 2025 with Eufaula winning by a score of 35-24.

Foley outscored their opponents 433-6 in 1961. The Lions were named state champions by the Alabama Sports Writers Association that season.
