 2016 Preview

Rehobeth completed the 2015 season with a 4-6 record. Last year Rehobeth just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 5A region two with a 2-4 region record.

The Rebels last playoff victory came during the 2005 season. They would love to break through this year with a post season win.

Rehobeth was inconsistent offensively last year and that needs to pick up if the Rebels want to be competitive. They only averaged 15.5 points a game.

Since 2010, the Rehobeth football program has struggled with a record of 14-47.

Over the past 25 seasons, Rehobeth has managed to compile a record of 108-158. Their 41.0% winning percentage ranks 43rd in Class 5A and 269th in the AHSAA. Their last winning season was 2005.

The Rebels are led by head coach Frankie Clark who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 11-20 over the past three seasons at Rehobeth. Under his direction the Rebels have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Clark.

Coach Clark's overall record as a head football coach in three season stands at 11-20 (35.5%).

The Rehobeth Rebels will play in Class 5A region two during the 2016 season.

With a little luck and some improvement, the Rebels could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region two this season. Rehobeth came up short of the playoffs last year but are optimistic of a return to the post season this year.

The Rebels open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Ashford on Friday, August 19 at W.F. Andrews Field. Last year the Ashford Yellow Jackets finished with an overall record of 3-7 and in seventh place in Class 4A region two.

Rehobeth and Ashford have met a total of 74 times on the football field. The Rebels have a 29-43-2 record against the Yellow Jackets. They last met in 2015 with Rehobeth winning by a score of 20-13.
