 2016 Preview 


       Last year Daleville captured the region 2 title and a number one seed in the Class 3A playoffs. They finished region play with a 6-0 record. Daleville reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Bayside Academy by a score of 49-41.

       Averaging over ten wins a season since 2010, Daleville has gone a combined 42-23. Their 65.0% winning percentage ranks 11th in Class 3A over the past six seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Daleville has managed to compile a record of 171-111. Their 61.0% winning percentage ranks 8th in Class 3A and 81st in the AHSAA.

       The Warhawks are led by head coach Josh Parrish who is entering his second season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 15-8 over the past two seasons at Daleville. Under his direction the Warhawks have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have won one region crown with Coach Parrish.

       Coach Parrish's overall record as a head football coach in two seasons stands at 15-8 (65.2%). Over the course of his career, Coach Parrish's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times and won one region championship.

       The Warhawks enter the 2016 season riding a 5 game regular season winning streak. Daleville has won 7 consecutive region games.

      The Daleville Warhawks will play in Class 3A region 2 during the 2016 season.

       The Warhawks should be considered one of the favorites for the Region 2 championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs.

       The Warhawks open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent Carroll on Friday, August 26 at Matthews Stadium. Last year the Carroll Eagles finished with an overall record of 5-5 and in sixth place in Class 6A region 2. The ended last season on a positive note with a win over B.T. Washington by a score of 66-14 after failing to gain a playoff spot.

       Daleville and Carroll have met a total of 12 times on the football field. The Warhawks have a 4-8-0 record against the Eagles. They last met in 2016 with Carroll winning by a score of 49-13.
