Northside completed the 2025 season with a 11-1 record. The Rams cruised through the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record going into the post season. Last year Northside captured the region three title and a number one seed in the Class 5A playoffs. They finished region play with a 6-0 record. Northside reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Vigor by a score of 49-28. No team at Northside ever won more games in a season than the eleven victories last year. The last time they won as many was back in 2019. The 572 points scored by the Rams last year were a team record in a single season. The high-scoring Northside offense ranked 6th in the AHSAA. They averaged 47.7 points a game. The Rams defense dominated most opponents as they ranked 25th in the AHSAA. The defense gave up just 13.8 points a game. Since 2010, Northside has gone a combined 116-61. Their 65.5% winning percentage ranks 9th in Class 4A over the past sixteen seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Northside has managed to compile a record of 136-131. Their 51.0% winning percentage ranks 31st in Class 4A and 189th in the AHSAA. Head Coach: The Rams are led by head coach Robbie Jones who is entering his fifth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 31-13 over the past four seasons at Northside. Under his direction the Rams have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have won one region crown with Coach Jones. Season Outlook: The Northside Rams will play in Class 4A region three during the 2026 season. The Rams enter the 2026 season riding a 11 game regular season winning streak. Northside enjoyed possibly the best season in school history last year with a perfect regular season where they dominated every opponent they played. Vigor put a halt to the winning streak but the Rams should be very proud of everything the accomplished in 2025. Can the Rams continue the success they had last year? Coach Jones has built the football program the right way so most think the success will continue in the future. Gone from the Rams are QB Jackson Rhodes and WR Evan Taylor as they both graduated in May. The Rams are considered one of the favorites for the region three championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs.
Players to Watch in 2026: Offense: (5) - Jackson Rhodes, Bennett Green, Miller Robison, Landry Chadwick, Wilson Lake Defense: (5) - Brody Abernathy, Landon Kemp, Bennett Green, Sawyer Kendrick, Miller Robison Newcomers: Dontae Smith, Kaleb Montgomery, Pate Hembree, Hudson Skelton, Sawyer McDonald, Drake Ferguson, Jase Hallman, Will Skelton The Coach had this to say: It will be a test to see if the young guys can mature quickly into pivotal roles and play with relentless effort. If they can do that, the sky is the limit!!! Season Opener: The Rams open the 2026 season at home against non-region opponent Winfield on Friday, August 21 at Northside Stadium. Last year the Winfield Pirates finished with an overall record of 9-3 and in second place in Class 3A region five. The Pirates lost in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs to Mars Hill by a score of 42-6. Northside and Winfield have met a total of 3 times on the football field. The Rams have a 2-1-0 record against the Pirates. They last met in 2021 with Winfield winning by a score of 32-14. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
