Millry completed the 2015 season with a 7-4 record. With their 5-1 region record and a second place finish in Class 1A region one, the Wildcats earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Millry's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Billingsley by a score of 53-28. Since 2010, Millry has gone a combined 29-34. Their 46.0% winning percentage ranks 28th in Class 1A over the past six seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Millry has managed to compile a record of 147-125. Their 54.0% winning percentage ranks 16th in Class 1A and 139th in the AHSAA. Billy Gardner leaves Millry after just two seasons at the school. His teams produced identical 7-4 records over the past two years. Greg Crager takes over the reins of the Millry football program for the 2016 season. He is a 1999 graduate of the school. He received his degree from Auburn University in 2003. Crager coached at Leroy for two years as an assistant before working at Robertsdale from 2006-2011. In 2011 he moved over to Spanish Fort where he taught history and coached linebackers. This will be his first head coaching job. The Millry Wildcats will play in Class 1A region one during the 2016 season. The Wildcats should be in contention for a playoff spot in region one this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game. The Wildcats open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Washington County on Thursday, August 25 at A.D. Britton Field. Last year the Washington County Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 10-3 and in first place in Class 2A region one. The Bulldogs lost in the quarter-finals round of the Class 2A playoffs to Elba by a score of 20-14. Millry and Washington County have met a total of 87 times on the football field. The Wildcats have a 24-59-4 record against the Bulldogs.
