Samson's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Pickens County by a score of 38-32.

The Tigers won as many games as in any season since 2000. The Tigers last playoff victory came during the 1996 season. They would love to break through this year with a post season win.

Since 2010, Samson has gone a combined 32-31. Their 51.0% winning percentage ranks 25th in Class 2A over the past six seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Samson has managed to compile a record of 118-144. Their 45.0% winning percentage ranks 34th in Class 2A and 234th in the AHSAA.

The Samson Tigers will play in Class 2A region two during the 2016 season.

The Tigers enter the 2016 season riding a 5 game regular season winning streak.

The Tigers should be in contention for a playoff spot in region two this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game.
