With their 4-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 3A region 6, the Bearcats earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Last year the Hayden Wildcats finished with an overall record of 8-4 and in third place in Class 5A region 6. The Wildcats lost in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs to Guntersville by a score of 26-10. Weaver and Hayden have met a total of 2 times on the football field. The Bearcats have a 2-0-0 record against the Wildcats. They last met in 2016 with Weaver winning by a score of 42-21. Weaver returns 3A All-State Senior linebacker Giovanni Mosley.
