 2016 Preview 


       With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 5A region 7, the Raiders earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Randolph's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Wenonah by a score of 48-0.

       Since 2010, Randolph has gone a combined 21-40. Their 34.0% winning percentage ranks 45th in Class 4A over the past six seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Randolph has managed to compile a record of 27-48. Their 36.0% winning percentage ranks 50th in Class 4A and 306th in the AHSAA.

       The Raiders are led by head coach Nick Flanagan who is entering his first season at the helm. His team finished with a 7-4 record in his first season at Randolph. Under his direction the Raiders have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Flanagan.

       Coach Flanagan's overall record as a head football coach in one seasons stands at 7-4 (63.6%). Over the course of his career, Coach Flanagan's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of one time .

      

      The Randolph Raiders will play in Class 4A region 7 during the 2016 season. The Raiders may find the schedule slightly easier this season with the move down in classification from Class 5A to 4A. They will compete in region 7 this year.

       The Raiders have a good chance to earn one of the playoff slots for Region 7 this season.

       The Raiders open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent Brewer on Friday, August 19 at James Tucker Stadium. Last year the Brewer Patriots finished with an overall record of 0-10 and in seventh place in Class 6A region 7. The closed out the regular season with a loss to Sparkman by a score of 43-0.

       Randolph and Brewer have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Raiders have a 1-2-1 record against the Patriots. They last met in 2016 with Randolph winning by a score of 28-2.
