With their 5-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 6A region 5, the Tigers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Minor lost in the quarter-finals of the playoffs last season to a strong Clay-Chalkville team by a score of 50-14. The 390 points scored by the Tigers last year were a team record in a single season. The defense allowed a team record 314 points last season. Since 2010, Minor has gone a combined 35-30. Their 54.0% winning percentage ranks 27th in Class 6A over the past six seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Minor has managed to compile a record of 152-125. Their 55.0% winning percentage ranks 24th in Class 6A and 136th in the AHSAA. The Tigers are led by head coach George Bates who is entering his second season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 15-9 over the past two seasons at Minor. The Raiders lost in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs to Daleville by a score of 40-18. Minor and Greensboro have met a total of 2 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 2-0-0 record against the Raiders. They last met in 2016 with Minor winning by a score of 48-8. Minor returns 6A All-State Senior athlete Jaylond Adams.
