Week Four of the 2025 football season is in the
history books and region play
has heated up. Here are a few tidbits
from this past week's games.
* We are nearing the halfway point of the
2025 football season. The best teams are progressing through the season working
hard to grab one of the elusive playoff spots come November.
* Look for the Barber Shop Guru predictions on
Tuesday. The guys went 9-3 last week with a few difficult games on the slate. Another great job
by the guys. You can test your luck in beating them by joining us in the forums.
* Since most teams are playing in state now let's look at
Alabama's record against other states. Overall the AHSAA schools are 15-9. Here
are the records against other states. Georgia (3-5), Florida (8-4), Mississippi
(3-0) and South Carolina (1-0).
* Did we have some big games this week? You know we
did. How about Ramsay shocking Corner 34-14. Pisgah defeated an up and
coming Pleasant Valley team 44-20. Gordo got past Winfield 35-21. Jackson once
again proved they are a great team with a 28-14 win over 7A Baker.
* Hewitt- Trussville took out the Bucs of Hoover 17-14 for their third win
in the past four seasons over Hoover. Anniston squeaked past Alexandria 20-18.
* The "I did not see that coming category". Moody simply outmanned St. Clair
County 55-0. Saraland destroyed Spanish Fort 54-7. Hubbertville defeating Berry
Fayette 44-12.
* Shockers and upsets? Pell City upset
Mountain Brook 10-3. Woodville got their first ever win over a ranked team with
a convincing 41-26 victory over Spring Garden. Isabella knocked off #1
Tuscaloosa Academy 21-19.
* Comebacks? West Morgan came from behind and got past Priceville with a
two-point conversion by a score of 8-7. Vigor overcame an early deficit to
UMS-Wright to walk away with a 39-26 victory.
* Do you like offense? Southside Selma
destroyed Dallas County 74-0. Lee-Scott Academy outscored Beulah 70-16. Decatur
suffered the worst loss in school history at the hands of Muscle Shoals by a
score of 66-0. Luverne took out Pike Liberal Arts 68-6. Carbon Hill outlasted
Hanceville 62-41.
* Fyffe has been ranked by the ASWA for an amazing
179 consecutive polls dating back to the 2009 season.
The Red Devils opened the 2025 season as the #3 team in
3A before dropping to #6 in recent weeks.
* Wadley
has the state's longest winning streak currently at seventeen games. The
Bulldogs gained a forfeit win over Donoho last week.
* Columbia holds onto the longest losing streak at 95
straight contests following a 63-0 loss to Hartselle. The Eagles should be
commended for their effort even in defeat. They now hold the
all-time record for consecutive losses.
* Demopolis owns a string of 28 consecutive region victories.
The Tigers got their first region victory on the season with a 38-6 win over
Montevallo on Friday. Reeltown
with a string of 25 straight region wins is next up.
* Columbia has also lost
57 consecutive region games.
* West Morgan has won
28 straight regular season games following a hard fought 8-7 win over Priceville.
* Saraland, ranked #3 in
6A, have reeled off a string of
34 consecutive home victories and will host McGill-Toolen this coming week on
their home field.
* Saraland also has the longest away
winning streak with 15 consecutive road wins after
opening the season with three victories on the road. The latest was a huge
knockout punch to Spanish Fort 54-7.

Fyffe seems to the the old Fyffe teams we remember so well. They are currently sitting on a string of 337 games
without being shutout. The Red Devils knocked off Asbury 54-6 to keep that
streak alive. T.R. Miller sits atop this list with a string of 354
games.
* Jason Massey can win the 100th game of his young
coaching career this week if the Clarke County Bulldogs can get a win over J.U.
Blacksher on the road.
* The Thomasville Tigers won the 700th game in
school history with a 50-0 shutout of Sumter Central. The
Tigers have a record of 700-352-49 since 1916.

Bullock County has started the season 4-0 for the first time since 1972 when
they finished the season with a 9-1 record.
