Alabama All-Star Game
1967
Chatom's Ronnie Gunter did the leg work which gave the South a lead, but it was Ronnie Gardner's interception in the end zone as time ran out which preserved a 14-10 victory in the 20th Annual Alabama High School All-Star Football Game. Gardner, Demopolis star, who saw only limited action at quarterback, took the four-yard toss in the end zone on the last play of the game to spoil Tarrant quarterback Brent Chumbler's desperate effort to bring the North home with an 11th hour victory.
