Escambia County finished the 2025 season with a disappointing 3-7 record. Last year Escambia County finished sixth in Class 4A region one with a 1-5 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Blue Devils have not qualified for the playoffs since the 2010 season and would love to end that streak this year. Escambia County was inconsistent offensively last year and they need some improvement if the Blue Devils want to be competitive. They only averaged 17.9 points a game. Since 2010, Escambia County has gone a combined 55-108. Their 33.7% winning percentage ranks 48th in Class 3A over the past sixteen seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Escambia County has not won much with a record of 79-175. Their 31.0% winning percentage ranks 55th in Class 3A and 347th in the AHSAA. Head Coach: The Blue Devils are led by head coach Tommie Lewis Jr. who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 3-7 record in his first season at Escambia County. The Blue Devils saw improvement from a 2-8 record the season before coach Lewis Jr. arrived. The Blue Devils have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Lewis Jr.. Season Outlook: The Escambia County Blue Devils will play in Class 3A region one during the 2026 season. Over the past twenty-five seasons in Atmore only one head coach has hung around longer than three seasons leading the Blue Devils. It's also been fifteen seasons since they last played in the post season. The Blue Devils will need to win a few more games this fall if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region one this season. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
