 2026 Preview 


       Falkville completed the 2025 season with a 8-3 record. With their 4-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 2A region six, the Blue Devils earned a spot in the playoffs in 2025. Falkville's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Vincent by a score of 34-6.

       Since 2010, Falkville has gone a combined 96-78. Their 55.2% winning percentage ranks 22nd in Class 2A over the past sixteen seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Falkville has managed to compile a record of 121-145. Their 46.0% winning percentage ranks 35th in Class 2A and 236th in the AHSAA.

Head Coach:
       The Blue Devils are led by head coach Seth Ward who is entering his sixth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 30-25 over the past five seasons at Falkville. Under his direction the Blue Devils have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Ward.

Season Outlook:

       The Falkville Blue Devils will play in Class 2A region seven during the 2026 season.

       Falkville will face six opponents that reached the playoffs last season.

       The Blue Devils enter the 2026 season riding a 6 game regular season winning streak.

       This should be a very competitive region all season long. Last year six of the current teams reached the playoffs. Only four will make it this year.

       Reed Dillard completed 84 of 134 passes for 949 yards and 9 TDs and will return for his Junior season.

    The Blue Devils are considered one of the favorites for the region seven championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs.

Season Opener:
       The Blue Devils open the 2026 season on the road against non-region opponent Vinemont on Friday, August 21 at Eagle Stadium. Last year the Vinemont Eagles finished with an overall record of 6-5 and in third place in Class 3A region five. The Eagles lost in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs to Westbrook Christian by a score of 49-0.

       Falkville and Vinemont have met a total of 48 times on the football field. The Blue Devils have a 21-27-0 record against the Eagles. They last met in 2025 with Falkville winning by a score of 22-6.
