 2026 Preview

Colbert County completed the 2025 season with a 8-4 record. With their 6-1 region record and a second place finish in Class 3A region seven, the Indians earned a spot in the playoffs in 2025. Colbert County reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Gordo by a score of 49-29.

The Indians won as many games as in any season since 2018.

The high-scoring Colbert County offense ranked 20th in the AHSAA. They averaged 41.6 points a game.

Since 2010, Colbert County has gone a combined 113-75. Their 60.1% winning percentage ranks 16th in Class 2A over the past sixteen seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Colbert County has managed to compile a record of 200-108. Their 65.0% winning percentage ranks 9th in Class 2A and 72nd in the AHSAA. The Indians have been successful on the football field with twenty-one winning seasons during this time.

Head Coach:
The Indians are led by head coach Oscar Bonds who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 8-4 record in his first season at Colbert County. The Indians saw improvement from a 5-6 record the season before coach Bonds arrived. Under his direction the Indians have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Bonds. Over the course of his career, Coach Bonds' teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of four times and won one region championship.

Season Outlook:

The Colbert County Indians will play in Class 2A region seven during the 2026 season.

Colbert County will face six opponents that reached the playoffs last season.

An 8-4 record last year is the best at Colbert County the past seven years. Time will tell if Coach Bonds can build upon this recent success. This should be a very competitive region all season long.

The Indians are considered one of the favorites for the region seven championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs. The Indians have successfully qualified for the playoffs every year since 2011 and expect to be included again when November rolls around.
