East Central HomeSchool finished the 2021 season with a disappointing 3-6 record. No team at East Central HomeSchool ever won more games in a season than the three victories last year. The 226 points scored by the Patriots last year were a team record in a single season. The defense allowed a team record 338 points last season. The Patriots would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 3-12 record. East Central HomeSchool is a relatively new football program having fielded a team only three seasons. They have managed a record of 3-15 over the past three years. The Patriots are led by head coach Mike Long who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 3-6 record in his first season at East Central HomeSchool. The Patriots saw improvement from a 0-6 record the season before coach Long arrived. The Patriots have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Long. Coach Long's overall record as a head football coach in one season stands at 3-6 (33.3%). The East Central HomeSchool Patriots will play in Class 8 Man region during the 2022 season. Region will be one of the most competitive regions in any classification this season. The Patriots open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent North River Christian on Friday, August 26 at Charger Park. Last year the North River Christian Chargers finished with an overall record of 3-5 and in place in Class 8 Man region three. East Central HomeSchool and North River Christian have met a total of 5 times on the football field. The Patriots have a 3-2-0 record against the Chargers.
