Tabernacle completed the 2021 season with a 7-4 record. With their 6-2 region record and a place finish in Class 8 Man region , the Torches earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Tabernacle's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Russell Christian MS by a score of 41-6. The Torches won as many games as in any season since 2015. The Torches hope to continue the success they had last season. Coach Chase saw improvement as they won seven games following a 1-5 record in 2020. Since 2010, Tabernacle has gone a combined 78-42. Their 65.0% winning percentage ranks 2nd in Class 8 Man over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Tabernacle has managed to compile a record of 138-86. Their 62.0% winning percentage ranks 3rd in Class 8 Man and 5th in the . The Torches are led by head coach Clint Chase who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 8-9 over the past two seasons at Tabernacle. Under his direction the Torches have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Chase. Coach Chase's overall record as a head football coach in two season stands at 8-9 (47.1%). The Tabernacle Torches will play in Class 8 Man region during the 2022 season. Region will be one of the most competitive regions in any classification this season. The Torches open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Lighthouse Home School on Friday, August 19. Last year the Lighthouse Home School Warriors finished with an overall record of 6-2 and in place in Class 8 Man region seventeen. Tabernacle and Lighthouse Home School have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Torches have a 1-3-0 record against the Warriors.
