Crenshaw Christian completed the 2021 season with a 7-4 record. With their 4-1 region record and a second place finish in Class A region one, the Cougars earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Last year Crenshaw Christian reached the semi-finals before falling to a very good Jackson Academy team by the score of 42-0. Since 2010, Crenshaw Christian has gone a combined 90-48. Their 65.2% winning percentage ranks 1st in Class A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Crenshaw Christian has managed to compile a record of 184-99. Their 65.0% winning percentage ranks 1st in Class A and 5th in the AISA. The Cougars are led by head coach Wayne Grant who is entering his fifth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 37-10 over the past four seasons at Crenshaw Christian. Under his direction the Cougars have qualified for the playoffs a total of four times. The Crenshaw Christian Cougars will play in Class A region one during the 2022 season. The Cougars should be in contention for a playoff spot in region one this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game. They have reached the playoffs every year since 2013 and will once again be in the hunt for a spot in 2022. The Cougars open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Abbeville Christian on Friday, August 26 at Generals Stadium. Last year the Abbeville Christian Generals finished with an overall record of 2-8 and in fifth place in Class A region one. The Generals closed out the regular season with a loss to Macon-East Academy by a score of 49-13. Crenshaw Christian and Abbeville Christian have met a total of 40 times on the football field. The Cougars have a 29-11-0 record against the Generals.
