 2022 Preview 


       Cornerstone Rainsville completed the 2021 season with a 5-4 record.

       No team at Cornerstone Rainsville ever won more games in a season than the five victories last year. The 267 points scored by the Eagles last year were a team record in a single season.

      

       Cornerstone Rainsville is a relatively new football program having fielded a team only four seasons. They have managed a record of 10-19 over the past four years.




       The Eagles are led by head coach Jeff Nelson who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 5-4 record in his first season at Cornerstone Rainsville. The Eagles saw improvement from a 3-3 record the season before coach Nelson arrived. The Eagles have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Nelson.

       Coach Nelson's overall record as a head football coach in four season stands at 11-28 (28.2%).

       The Cornerstone Rainsville Eagles will play in Class 8 Man region during the 2022 season.

      

       The Eagles open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Trinity Homeschool on Friday, August 19.

       This will be the first meeting between Cornerstone Rainsville and Trinity Homeschool on the football field.
