 2022 Preview 


       Ardmore completed the 2021 season with a 7-4 record. With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 5A region eight, the Tigers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Ardmore's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Alexandria by a score of 52-6.

       The Tigers won as many games as in any season since 2006. It marked the first time since the 2013 season that the Tigers qualified for the playoffs. The Tigers have never won a playoff game in the school's history. They would like to break through and pick up that first post season victory in 2022.

       Since 2010, Ardmore has gone a combined 47-75. Their 38.5% winning percentage ranks 38th in Class 5A over the past twelve seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Ardmore has not won much with a record of 82-172. Their 32.0% winning percentage ranks 52nd in Class 5A and 337th in the AHSAA.




       The Tigers are led by head coach Jonathan Snider who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 7-4 record in his first season at Ardmore. The Tigers saw improvement from a 5-5 record the season before coach Snider arrived. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Snider.

       Coach Snider's overall record as a head football coach in one season stands at 7-4 (63.6%).

       The Ardmore Tigers will play in Class 5A region eight during the 2022 season.

       The Tigers will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region eight this season.

       The Tigers open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent West Limestone on Friday, August 19 at James Kennemer Stadium. Last year the West Limestone Wildcats finished with an overall record of 5-5 and in fifth place in Class 4A region eight. The Wildcats closed out the regular season with a loss to Ardmore by a score of 7-3.

       Ardmore and West Limestone have met a total of 74 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 29-44-1 record against the Wildcats. They last met in 2021 with Ardmore winning by a score of 7-3.
