Goshen completed the 2015 season with a 4-7 record. With their 4-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 2A region three, the Eagles earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Goshen's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Washington County by a score of 39-0. The Eagles lost as many games as in any season since 2005. Since 2010, Goshen has gone a combined 36-31. Their 54.0% winning percentage ranks 20th in Class 2A over the past six seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Goshen has managed to compile a record of 148-124. Their 54.0% winning percentage ranks 17th in Class 2A and 142nd in the AHSAA. The Eagles are led by head coach Bart Snyder who is entering his eighth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 44-35 over the past seven seasons at Goshen. Under his direction the Eagles have qualified for the playoffs a total of seven times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Snyder. Coach Snyder's overall record as a head football coach in seven season stands at 44-35 (55.7%). The Goshen Eagles will play in Class 2A region three during the 2016 season. The Eagles will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region three this season. They have qualified for the playoffs every year since 2007 and are hopeful to continue that streak in 2016. The Eagles open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Ariton on Friday, August 26 at Goshen Field. Last year the Ariton Purple Cats finished with an overall record of 5-6 and in fourth place in Class 2A region two. The Purple Cats lost in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs to Fayetteville by a score of 35-26. Goshen and Ariton have met a total of 27 times on the football field. The Eagles have a 10-17-0 record against the Purple Cats. They last met in 2005 with Ariton winning by a score of 48-14. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
