Alabama High School Football Head Coaches

C.D. Anderson

C.D. "Lefty" Anderson was a graduate of Jackson High School and Livingston State.

His first head coaching job came at Frisco City High School in 1955 where over the next eight seasons his teams finished a combined 53-22-4.

Anderson moved to Murphy High School in Mobile in 1963 for six seasons with a record of 32-24-1. His overall record as a head football coach is 95-38-5 during his 14 year career as a high school coach.

Following his retirement from the sidelines, Anderson served Murphy ten more years as assistant principal and principal and then was the Mobile County Athletic Director for eight years. Anderson served thirteen years on the AHSAA Central Board, two as president.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Parrish scored a record 77 points in a playoff game against Cedar Bluff in 2001. The Tornados were shutout the following week 19-0 by Courtland.
