2022 Weekly Predictions

Each week we will let you know how the Computer did and how many favorites won according to the AHSFHS Power Ratings.  The Power Ratings are based upon past performance during the season and will reflect a team's strength on the football field.

As we move further into the playoffs and the teams are more evenly matched the AHSFHS.org Power Ratings are not always as accurate simply because a single play can determine the outcome of a game when the teams are evenly matched.

Last week half the games had a spread of less than seven points which means they could go either way.

The biggest upset was Charles Henderson defeating Faith Academy after entering the game as a 12 point underdog. Leroy upset Millry after being a 10 point underdog.

Once schools reach the Super Seven Championship games the teams are so evenly matched that any game can go either way. Many years the team that makes the fewest mistakes will take home the blue map. The largest point spread is Fyffe favored over B.B. Comer by 14. The closest matchup appears to be between Andalusia and Cherokee County.
