Week 4

Four weeks of action have come and gone in high school football. Many teams are beginning to find their identities and make playoff runs. Here are some interesting facts from this week's games.

  
   *  Dadeville and Tanner currently hold on to the top spot with a streak of twenty-two consecutive games won on their home turf.

   *  Dadeville and Tanner also continue to share the lead with thirty game regular season winning streaks. Maplesville deserves recognition with a streak of twenty-eight wins during the regular season.

   *  Jackson and Hartselle share a streak of nineteen consecutive wins to lead all Alabama high school football teams.

   *   Central Hayneville continues to top our list with forty-five consecutive losses after a 24-42 loss to Luverne.

   *   Cold Springs has lost thirty-five straight region games following their 12-63 loss to Aliceville.

   *   The T.R. Miller Tigers defeated Bayside Academy 37-35 and have scored in 321 consecutive games.

   *  Bibb County remained at the top for their streak of consecutive region wins for just one week before losing to Jemison 7-18. The new leader in AHSAA is Elba with a streak of twenty-six consecutive region wins. Monroe Academy has also won twenty-six in a row in AISA. Other notables in AHSAA include.... Tanner (24), Dadeville (21), Maplesville (20) and Piedmont (20).

* Homewood set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Ramsay 75-13.
* Horseshoe Bend set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Isabella 61-33.
* North Sand Mountain set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Gaston 65-38.
* Pleasant Valley set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Victory Christian 55-0.
* Saraland set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Satsuma 56-7.
* St. Lukes set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating John Essex 49-8.
* Wenonah set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Paul Bryant 59-7.


Points allowed in a game

* Hokes Bluff set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Lincoln 42-62.
* Ramsay set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Homewood 13-75.
* Sumter Central set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Jackson 6-64.


Margin of Victory game

* Homewood set a team record for margin of victory by defeating Ramsay 75-13.
* Pleasant Valley set a team record for margin of victory by defeating Victory Christian 55-0.
* Saraland set a team record for margin of victory by defeating Satsuma 56-7.
* St. Lukes set a team record for margin of victory by defeating John Essex 49-8.
* Wenonah set a team record for margin of victory by defeating Paul Bryant 59-7.


Margin of Defeat game

* Ramsay set a team record for margin of defeat in a game by losing to Homewood 13-75.
* Sumter Central set a team record for margin of defeat in a game by losing to Jackson 6-64.


Points Scored by Both Teams in a Game

* Decatur Heritage Christian set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by defeating Tharptown 42-35.
* Gaston set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by losing to North Sand Mountain 38-65.
* Hokes Bluff set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by losing to Lincoln 42-62.
* Horseshoe Bend set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by defeating Isabella 61-33.
* North Sand Mountain set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by defeating Gaston 65-38.
* Oak Grove set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by defeating Carbon Hill 48-46.
* Pike County set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by losing to Abbeville 41-53.
* Abbeville set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by defeating Pike County 53-41.
* Talladega County Central set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by losing to Wadley 36-52.
* West Point set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by losing to Russellville 20-63.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The Super 6 State Championships began in 1996. Since then all title games were played at Legion Field in Birmingham until 2009.
