Week 6

Six weeks down through the 2011 season and a few tidbits on this past weekend's action. It was a relatively slow week for team records.

   *  Daphne and Thomasville all continued their state leading 21 game winning streaks.

   *  Central Hayneville continues to top our list with thirty-seven consecutive losses as they had the week off.

   *  Crenshaw Christian has won twenty-five regular season games in a row.

   *   Handley won on the road so their streak stays at twenty-nine home wins in a row.

   *   Cold Springs has lost twenty-nine straight region games.

   *   The T.R. Miller Tigers have scored in 311 consecutive games.

   *  Crenshaw Christian holds the state lead with 39 consecutive region wins. Leroy ended their AHSAA streak at 34 straight region victories. Hamilton now has the longest streak at twenty-five games.



Note: The new schools will not be included in team records because of the obvious reasons.

 * Sipsey Valley set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Northside 30-18.


Points allowed in a game

 * Wadley set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to St. Jude 0-63.


Margin of Victory game

 * Sipsey Valley set a team record for margin of victory by defeating Northside 30-18.


Margin of Defeat game

 * Locust Fork set a team record for margin of defeat in a game by losing to Anniston 0-67.
 * Wadley set a team record for margin of defeat in a game by losing to St. Jude 0-63.


Points Scored by Both Teams in a Game

 * Prattville set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by defeating Sidney Lanier 63-24.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Clay County shutout an amazing eleven opponents in 1996. The Panthers outscored their opponents 613-42 finishing the season 15-0.
