 2018 Preview 


       Millry completed the 2017 season with a 5-6 record. With their 5-2 region record and a second place finish in Class 1A region one, the Wildcats earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. Millry's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Isabella by a score of 26-21.

       Since 2010, Millry has gone a combined 38-47. Their 45.0% winning percentage ranks 30th in Class 1A over the past eight seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Millry has managed to compile a record of 140-124. Their 53.0% winning percentage ranks 19th in Class 1A and 152nd in the AHSAA.




       The Wildcats are led by head coach Greg Crager who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 9-13 over the past two seasons at Millry. Under his direction the Wildcats have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Crager.

       Coach Crager's overall record as a head football coach in two season stands at 9-13 (40.9%).

       The Millry Wildcats will play in Class 1A region one during the 2018 season.

       The Wildcats will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region one this season.

       The Wildcats open the 2018 season at home against non-region opponent Washington County on Thursday, August 30 at A.D. Britton Field. Last year the Washington County Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 3-6 and in fifth place in Class 2A region one. The Bulldogs closed out the regular season with a loss to Citronelle by a score of 44-12.

       Millry and Washington County have met a total of 87 times on the football field. The Wildcats have a 24-59-4 record against the Bulldogs. They last met in 2017 with Washington County winning by a score of 25-0.

       Millry returns 1A All-State  athlete Tate Warr. He was named to the second team last season.
