 2016 Preview 


       Glenwood School completed the 2015 season with a 4-6 record. With their 1-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class AAA region two, the Gators earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Glenwood School's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Monroe Academy by a score of 49-0.

       Since 2010, Glenwood School has gone a combined 32-36. Their 47.0% winning percentage ranks 9th in Class AAA over the past six seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Glenwood School has managed to compile a record of 156-121. Their 56.0% winning percentage ranks 7th in Class AAA and 15th in the AISA.

Tripp Henderson leaves Glenwood School after two stints as the head football coach. His record at Glenwood is 31-33 in six seasons.


Jason Gibson takes over the football program at Glenwood in 2016. He has been the head coach of the Columbus Lions indoor team for ten years. In May he took on job number two, when he was named the new head coach at Glenwood.



       The Glenwood School Gators will play in Class AAA region one during the 2016 season. Following realignment, the Gators remain in AAA but move from region two over to region one. Glenwood School will face six opponents that reached the playoffs last season.

       Region one will be one of the most competitive regions in any classification this season. This season, the Gators will be a long shot for one of the four playoff spots in region one.

       The Gators open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent Calvary GA on Friday, August 26.

Thomasville scored 54 points against Gulf Shores in the first quarter of a game in 2003. They managed to hang on for an 81-14 win.
