 2016 Preview

Bibb County completed the 2015 season with a 7-4 record. Last year Bibb County captured the region four title and a number one seed in the Class 4A playoffs. They finished region play with a 6-0 record. Bibb County's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Straughn by a score of 7-6.

Since 2010, Bibb County has gone a combined 50-20. Their 71.0% winning percentage ranks 11th in Class 4A over the past six seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Bibb County has managed to compile a record of 161-118. Their 58.0% winning percentage ranks 14th in Class 4A and 104th in the AHSAA.

The Choctaws are led by head coach Matt Geohagan who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 7-4 record in his first season at Bibb County. The Choctaws saw improvement from a 6-5 record the season before coach Geohagan arrived. Under his direction the Choctaws have qualified for the playoffs once. They have won one region crown with Coach Geohagan.

Coach Geohagan's overall record as a head football coach in one season stands at 7-4 (63.6%).

The Bibb County Choctaws will play in Class 4A region four during the 2016 season.

The Choctaws enter the 2016 season having won 7 straight region games.

The Choctaws should be considered one of the favorites for the region four championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs.

The Choctaws open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Jemison on Friday, August 19 at Choctaw Stadium. Last year the Jemison Panthers finished with an overall record of 2-7 and in seventh place in Class 5A region four.
