Wenonah reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Mortimer Jordan by a score of 30-20. Since 2010, Wenonah has gone a combined 37-24. Their 61.0% winning percentage ranks 20th in Class 5A over the past six seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Wenonah has managed to compile a record of 141-112. The Dragons open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Midfield on Thursday, August 25 at Bell-Culpepper Stadium. Last year the Midfield Patriots finished with an overall record of 6-4 and in second place in Class 3A region 3. The Patriots lost in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs to Opp by a score of 49-20. Wenonah and Midfield have met a total of 18 times on the football field. The Dragons have a 14-4-0 record against the Patriots. They last met in 2023 with Wenonah winning by a score of 39-0. Wenonah returns 5A All-State Senior linebacker Giovanni Williams.
