 2016 Preview

Last year Beulah finished sixth in Class 3A region 3 with a 1-5 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

The Bobcats would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 4-16 record. Since 2010, Beulah has gone a combined 17-43. Their 28.0% winning percentage ranks 48th in Class 3A over the past six seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Beulah has not won much with a record of 82-174. Their 32.0% winning percentage ranks 53rd in Class 3A and 335th in the AHSAA.

The Bobcats are led by head coach Jarrod Wooten who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 7-23 over the past three seasons at Beulah. The Bobcats have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Wooten.

Coach Wooten's overall record as a head football coach in seven seasons stands at 25-46 (35.2%). Over the course of his career, Coach Wooten's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of one time .

The Beulah Bobcats will play in Class 3A region 3 during the 2016 season.

It will be an uphill battle for the Bobcats if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in Region 3 this season.

The Bobcats open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent Spring Garden on Friday, August 26 at Panther Stadium. Last year the Spring Garden Panthers finished with an overall record of 8-4 and in second place in Class 1A region 7. The Panthers lost in the second round of the Class 1A playoffs to Decatur Heritage Christian by a score of 30-22.

Beulah and Spring Garden have met a total of 2 times on the football field. The Bobcats have a 1-1-0 record against the Panthers. They last met in 2016 with Spring Garden winning by a score of 47-12.

Beulah returns 3A All-State Senior linebacker Hunter Bowling. He was named to the second team last season.
