 High School Bio:

            Shirley was named All-County and All-State two years, Honorable Mention All-America and West Alabamas Lineman of the Year in football; All-County and All-District in basketball; All-County in baseball. He played varsity football four years; captained the squad, played linebacker on defense; and last season caught 22 passes and scored three touchdowns and four extra points.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Clay County shutout an amazing eleven opponents in 1996. The Panthers outscored their opponents 613-42 finishing the season 15-0.
