 High School Bio:

            Coon was named All-State, Selmas Outstanding Lineman, Highest Scholastic Average Award, and All-District-in basketball. He played three years of varsity football, captained the 1958 squad and, as a senior, caught 21 passes for 287 yards.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Etowah defeated Oxford 69-63 in 1991 to set a state record for most points scored by both teams in a playoff game.
