 High School Bio:

            McGriff averaged 11 tackles a game and blocked six punts his senior season at Cottonwood. Played tackle on varsity team for 3 years and was captain. Earned All-State, All-Conference, All-Southern, All-American, Birmingham News Super All-State Team, Birmingham Post Herald MVP in state. Led team in tackles for 3 years, WAC Champion.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

In 1925 Langdale tied a record by defeating Milltown 125-0. Hamilton had set the record by thrashing Fayette 125-0 in 1915.
