 High School Bio:

            Newton played varsity football 3 years and also participated on the basketball and track teams. He was All-West Alabama Conference 2 years, Post-Herald All-State, and Tuscaloosa News All-West Alabama Teams. He was a leading tackler on defense.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

In 1925 Langdale tied a record by defeating Milltown 125-0. Hamilton had set the record by thrashing Fayette 125-0 in 1915.
