 High School Bio:

            He played varsity football 4 years and was captain 1 year. He was All-State, All-Conference, All-County; caught 37 passes for 417 yards last season. He was also an outstanding basketball player.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
