            Split-end had four years of varsity training and was Captain of his squad. Out of 124 attempts, He completed 53 for 895 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was voted Most Valuable Player in 1968; Peanut Bowl, Host Valuable Player in 1967; All-Conference 1967 and 1968; All-State in 1968. Most Athletic in 1967 and 1968. He also p1ayed basketball and ran track.

Marion County defeated Meek 83-6 in a playoff game in 2012. It is the most points scored by a team in a playoff game.
