            Self played varsity football for three years and was Captain of his squad. He was First Team Birmingham News; A.P.- 4A All-State Team; All-TVC; All-Quad Cities; Most Valuable Lineman Coffee High School.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

In 1925 Langdale tied a record by defeating Milltown 125-0. Hamilton had set the record by thrashing Fayette 125-0 in 1915.
