 High School Bio:

            Short was voted the Outstanding Back at Lineville High School in 1962. Specializing in passing and punting, he also has over 2,300 yards gained rushing to his credit for 1961-62. In the last 2 of his 4 years of varsity football, he has thrown 15 touchdown passes and has run for 38 touchdowns, himself. He was co-captain of his squad in 1962. Athletic honors which he has received include All State, 1961-62, and All-Cheaha Conference 1960-61 and 1961-62. He also enjoys basketball and track.
