 High School Bio:

            Caldwell received honorable mention to All-State Football, All-Conference Football, Most Valuable Back in 1962. His specialty was returning punts as deep man on kickoffs. He was leading scorer for two years, averaged 7 yards per carry, intercepted 16 passes last two years of his 4 years played in varsity football. He averaged 20 yards per punt return and 30 yards per kickoff return. He excelled at Baseball and Basketball, and was captain of the basketball team for two years.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Etowah defeated Oxford 69-63 in 1991 to set a state record for most points scored by both teams in a playoff game.
