 High School Bio:

            Banks High School player showed his versatility by playing Tackle, Lineman, Guard and Linebacker. Specialized in extra points and played 3 years of varsity football. He was named Birmingham News 1st team All City; Honorable Mention All State; Birmingham Post-Herald Lineman of the Week and All Big Six 1st team. Radio Station WYDE Player of the Week. Also was on wrestling team which won 3rd in State for Heavyweight Class. Was weight man on Track Team.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Morris Higginbotham coached three different teams to divisional state championships in the 1950s. He won titles at Walnut Grove in 1952, West Blocton in 1955 and Enterprise in 1960.
