Ramon Nelson leaves Blount after three seasons with only six victories to show for all his hard work and effort leading the football program. The Leopards have not qualified for the playoff since 202o which is the longest streak since before the Ben Harris era back in the 1980s. Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
