Active Coaches with the Most Wins

The 2024 offseason saw many coaching changes that will affect schools for year to come. Terry Curtis retired at UMS-Wright with his 361 victories over 36 seasons. Hugh Fountain also retired at W.S. Neal with 271 wins to his name. Brent Hubbert leaves T.R. Miller after posting 229 career victories.

We will see a couple of new faces on the sidelines this season from Mississippi who join this list in Ricky Woods at Demopolis and Chris Chambless at Gordo. Both of these head coaches won over 200 games during their careers in our neighboring state to the west.

That leaves us with the list of coaches with at least 160 wins to their name. Danny Horn with 363 wins leads the way as two other coaches with at least 300 victories follow. Sixty-seven active head football coaches in the state have won at least 100 games over the course of their careers. These numbers include games won in states other than Alabama.
