Smitty Grider resigned from his head coaching position at Benjamin Russell after four seasons leading the program. His teams finished a combined 23-12 making the playoffs each season. His overall record in 21 years as a head coach stands at 148-77. 2025 Season Kirk Johnson leaves Catholic with a current 29 game winning streak and a record of 55-2 in five seasons. His teams also won two state titles along the way. He will have his work cut out for him to continue that success at Benjamin Russell. While the program has been a traditional winner they have not found consistent success in a number of years. | |
