After ten seasons as the head football coach at Pelham, Brett Burnett and the Panthers parted ways. His ten teams finished a combined 53-55 earning six playoff spots. His best team in 2006 went 10-3, losing in the quarterfinals to Vestavia Hills.

After eight seasons at Demopolis, Tom Causey accepted the head football coaching position at Pelham high school. Causey led the Tigers to a 67-29 record including a playoff spot in each season.

His best team at Demopolis in 2009 finished 12-3 with and claimed the Class 5A State Championship with a 27-14 win over Russellville. Causey
