Dan Klages graduated from Ashford High School and Auburn University. His first job as a head football coach came in 1994 at New Brockton High School where he remained for only one season with a 4-6 record. The next year he moved to his alma mater, Ashford, for four seasons. His Yellow Jackets went 25-18 during his tenure and qualified for the playoffs three times. Eufaula was the next stop for Coach Klages in 2004. His teams have gone to the playoffs in each year he has been the coach of the Tigers the last nine seasons. Klages 2005 Tigers went 11-1, losing in the second round of the state playoffs. His 2006 team finished the regular season undefeated and lost in the Super Six Championship game to Athens 10-7. Dan Klages served as the head coach and athletic director at Eufaula. His overall coaching record stands at 119-63 in sixteen years as a head football coach. Only two of his teams failed to make the playoffs. Klaggs retired following the 2014 season. |
